Sunday

btw...

I updates/fixed my website! You can now click on the pictures... Oh Yeah!

It Came... It Came Just the Same....

Yeah Christmas was so fun this year! With Winnies excited "whoow" over every present and sledding and snowmobiling what more do you need? For the past 7 years my family has been going to a cabin at Bear Lake. It is great we all go up and stay for a few days, it seems to make Christmas last longer like a little holiday. I love it. This year it was a little smaller than usual with only two grnadkids but Ethan and Win has a great time together, He is one great cousin!

Funny thing was Kev and I woke up before anyone else did so I went down to see if Ethan was up and sure enough he was down in his room awake and just waiting. The second he heard me he jumped out of bed and was ready to go... So at 6 am we went in and woke up Joey. She is just like her mom, NOT a morning person but once she figured out what was going on she got really excited!

It took her a minute to realize that after a month of being told she couldn't open gifts that she finally she could! Once that sunk in there was no stopping her!
Thanks Santa! We had a wonderful Christmas... Can't wait until next year!!!

Saturday

Santa Claus is comin to town!

This year I got a little carried away and decided to make my own Christmas card... Well Eryn actually called and asked if I would make hers and I of course said yes! I thought it turned out super cute!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Friday

It's Official!!

Last Saturday Kev graduated from USU! It was such a fun day and even if he didn't really want to walk I am really glad he did! It just makes it seem more official!
Anyway just a few pics.. Kevin's whole family came!! It as so awesome and I could not be happier about it or more proud of him!

So what is real life like?

Saturday

A day or two ago... I thought I'd take a ride....

Yeah it is finally Christmas time and there is snow to go with it! We went sledding down Old Main hill last weekend and it was so fun! Kev and I haven't been since we were first dating and we went to Wal-Mart and Kev sprung for twenty bucks on this tube! (That is more than he spent on our first date!) But the good news is it has lasted us 3 years and is still a blast to ride on!

Winnie was lovin it! We took her all the way to the top of the hill and send her down on her own! A little dangerous yes but she loved every minute of it! What a doll!

But in the end it was really Maizy that she liked the best! (Todd and Megans dog) She is lovin dogs now a days. She has the uff uuf down pat. She really must be daddy's little girl! We all know how I feel about pets!

And ofcourse a trip to see Santa! Went about as well as we thought it would! She really likes to get the candy cane but really doesn't like sitting on his lap!

Tuesday

3 moves in 1 year!

First I have to say how proud I am of Kev! Honestly, the man is a work horse and does such an amazing job caring for two very high maintenance babes!

Anyway, Kevin is graduating from Utah State University in two weeks with a dual major in Accounting and Spanish.
He recently accepted a position with Utah Retirement Systems in Salt Lake. So we will be there until May.
Then it is off to London for an internship with Deloitte,
Then to Washington D.C. for a permanent position with PricewaterhouseCoopers!!
Does that sound like a lot to anyone else? We could not be more excited!
Or more proud of Kev! Way to be! We sure do love you!

Thursday

The Slog for Thanksgiving!

So for Thanksgiving we went to Seattle and Portland! Kev and I have been talking about it for a while. His sister Lanie lives in Portland and my sister Eryn just moved back to Seattle. So I was a little more than excited when Kev looked up one day and said how about we go to Seattle this weekend and Portland on Wedensday? Needless to say I jumped all over it. But I had to ask why would Kev have changed his mind about going? Well... The Chicago Bears were playing the Seahawks! So we loaded up our back and got Win a pack of 1000 stickers and fruit snacks and we were on our way!

The fam on the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island

me and Tucker on the ferry! When Trav was in Dental school I went and lived with Eryn for a few months. Tucker was two and he was my man! It was the most fun I have ever had living in Seattle! I loved it! I think Tucker is my only roommate I never fought with!!

The woodland park zoo! Best Zoo ever! and Wins first time to a Zoo. She loved it! Grunted all her grunts at all the animals!

even when we got attacked by this lioness! It was awesome!

And ofcourse the Troll!! Don't worry that is a real Volkswagon bug under his hand! So Seattle!

And after a few shopping trips it was on to Portland! The drive is only supposed to take three hours, but for some reason the traffic is always so bad that it takes hours and hours to get there, hence the slog...Anyway I have never been to Portland and it is such a cool city! Of course I didn't take pictures of anything! Dumb me! Anyway Lanie made a delicious Thanksgiving Feast! It was so fun! Win LOVED her two girl cousins, everything is pink! She was in heaven!

It was a riot Abby(5) would put ALL the necklaces and bracelets and rings they owned on Win and she would come running out of the room to show us! It was so funny!

family picture time! I thought this one of the girls was so cute! They are best friends and Emma does everything Abby does! Sisters, gotta love em!

Thanks to our sisters for having us! We had a blast!

Wednesday

My Mom.... and... Me!

The other day I made my mom let me take pictures of her and myself for my series.... It is funny I have been doing photography for so many years and she has always been my biggest supporter but I have never acutally photographed her. I am so glad I did it! I love my mom! She is really one of my best friends and I love the relationship we have with each other! I really don't know what I would do with out her! Heck I even named my daughter after her, if that isn't love I don't know what is!
I love my mom and I love these pics.... So thanks for posing mom! Your the best!

Sunday

Gotta Love Girlfriends!

So my good friend Jordan was in town from Ohio and I am so glad I got to see her. Jordan is the girl that I always had the most fun with when she would come in to town from Montana. We did some crazy stuff in our day.... But Jordy will alway be known best for her classic line such as, "when I grow up I want to live somewhere exciting, like Wyoming!!" I still laugh when I think about it. Well now we are "grown up" and both have little girls of our own. Crazy but true. So I couldn't pass up on taking some pictures of her and her girl. Jordan has always been one of my dearest friends, more like a sister than just a friend and boy do I love her! So here are some pics, and Jordy babe, you are BEAUTIFUL!!

Friday

Happy...... Halloween!!

I have to say that Winnie's 2nd Halloween was so fun! She was just the cutest little bunny on the block! We went to Jens for trick or treating, pumpkin carving, and halloween games!

It was great and Win loved to trick or treat she just sat in the stroller and ate her candy just as happy as can be!

We had it all in our party... Darth Vador, Anakin Skywalker, Genreal Grevious, The Emperor, a monkey, a skeleton and a bunny! We were quite the site! Even Ty and Kev came dressed up. Kev came a Travis and Ty came as a monkey's uncle! Oh and I was a magician to go with my little white bunny!

Happy Haloween! Thanks Jen, Eryn, Mom and Kev we had a blast!!

Corn, Corn and More Corn Adventures!

It was Jen's birthday on the 30th so we went down to celebrate in style... At a corn maze! It was so fun! They had huge slides a pumpkin bounce around and a box of corn! It was so fun! Eryn and her kids stopped in on their move to Seattle and my good friend Jordan was in town from Ohio.

So we partied it up right! Win had so much fun with her cousins and her friend Adalynn! The funniest thing was when we were walling through the corn maze Win and Austin decided they wanted to hold hands so Aussie led her through for a little while.

It was so fun! Happy Birthday Jen! We sure do love you!!

Thursday

She may look like me... But she has her daddy's attitude!

I found this picture of me on my moms computer... And this little one of Win on her computer.. I think we are about the same age! Pretty funny I thought!
I guess I should elaborate on my title... According to parents views I was a sweet tempered baby and a bit of a handful as a teenager. According to parents Kevin was quite the handful as a baby and a breeze as a teenager. He could never be told what to do or how to do it. (still holds true today!) Well Win is just the same way. She insists on doing things in her time and in her way. For example, she will not go down the stairs on her belly like she should. Instead she has to face forward, she wants to walk down them but knows she can't just yet. So instead she goes face first but sits on her bum on every step and lowers herself down. It is pretty funny but a little scary at the same time. So like I said... She may look like me, but she has her dads attitude!

What a Difference 6 Months Makes!

So I have been thinking a lot about moving lately. Maybe I shouldn't because if I think about it too hard it really might make me cry! Anyway Eryn and I will soon be living on two different coasts, her the Pacific and me the Atlantic. And I just wanted to give her a shout out and tell her, I am totally stoked for you to be going back "home"! I can't imagine Win and Aus not going to the same high school. Heaven knows she is going to need someone to keep an eye on her! But I guess we will see what the future holds! I love you Howeys!!

It's Not Me... It's Logan!

So what are the chances that my car breaks down twice in two weeks? Well this time I think it is pretty serious. Win and I were driving home from Brigham City last night (we went down for Crew's birthday, Happy Birthday Crew!) and as soon as we got past Mantua my car just died! RPMs just went down and it just stopped and killed. Luckily Win had fallen asleep so it was not as bad as it could have been, waiting for a half an hour for Kev to come get us!
All I know is this. I have only ever had car problems or been left stranded on my way back to Logan... So what does that say? It is not me.... It has to be Logan!
I guess we will have to get a nice and reliable car when we are living in DC because there will be no mom and dad living 5 minutes away to come rescue us!!!

Monday

Continuing Mother Series

So I lately I have been photographing mothers and their kids. Just something I got in my head that would be a fun series to do. And it really has been! It is so fun to spend an hour or so with a mom and her child and just take pictures of them interacting. It is so funny to see the things they do and see their personalities come out on film. So I thought I would charge a special rate so lots of people can have these fun pictures on themselves and their kidos!

Wednesday

Girls, girls and more girls!

My friend Chelsea came over the other day and we took some pictures! Super cute!
Oh did I mention she has TWINS! They are so funny and so cute and identical I can never tell them apart! They are just a few months older than Win. So after pictures they came over and played. It was fun for her to see "double trouble" and share all her toys with them!

Sunday

Ready To Go Mom!

So the other morning Winnie decided she was going to get ready to go on her own. She grabbed her own shoes, brought them over to me, mismatched of course. Then went in her room and grabbed her purse and her bear. Lately everytime we leave the house she has to grab at least two things, one in each hand and then head out the door! In this case it was her bear and her purse, usually it is her little people animals or a doll and a book! I never knew a girl to be so girlie at such a young age! Lucky Kevy! Surrounded by pink on all sides! ( side note, the bathrobe was my doing. She had just gotten out of the tubbers!)

Thursday

The Hills Are Alive!... But my car is dead!

Well it is no secret I love Autumn! It is my favorite time of year. So the other day I decided I would go out and photograph a little of it.
Well what happens when Jill decides to do landscape photography? My car breaks down! Sure enough! I don't know what magic touch I have with cars but I really do break down a lot. Sure some people would blame on the fact that I haven't driven a car newer than 96, since 1996 but no, it really is me! Luckily I have a wonderful husband and father who both came out to rescue us!
Oh and we also found out why those black and orange bugs are called Box Elder Bugs, Win and I were attacked by about one hundred of them! I guess I will be cleaning those out of my car for weeks to come!
But hey, aren't the leaves pretty?!

Let the Healing Begin!

We got the xray of Win's fractured clavicle from the Orthopedic Surgeon we went to this week. Not the most fun Dr. visit we have ever had. Two hours in a tiny room with a one year old, just to find out not much healing is going on! It was a bummer. I got myself already to hear that she was healed and instead we heard she has to wear the brace for atleast one more month! Oh what a trooper she is! She really has been wonderful I think it hurts me more than it does her!

Monday

Q...D...T...

Just what every little girl needs.... a little quality dad time! Win loves to get down Kev's xbox controllers and go to town. She is getting pretty good too! But just so you know this is a rarity in our house. Kev has been so busy with school and work this semester he barely has time to breath let alone play videos games! But we see the light at the end of the tunnel, he signed both offers this weekend. Deloitte in London in May, and Price Waterhouse Cooper in DC in September! We are so excited and can't wait to get started..... So then Kev can work 80 hour weeks instead of 40....wait..?
