A day in the Life of...

Harry Potter?
No me and Joey!
If you haven't seen or read the story than this means nothing to you. But if you have than it is pretty cool!

platform 9 3/4 in Kings Cross! Joey didn't really want to go through to the other side!

Jowin has never gotten out on the train before but she really wanted up, up! So i let her up. We are in the back of the car, that is why the seat is so high.

The train coming to the station, you can read the "please mind the gap" it repeats over and over in a British ladies voice, it gets stuck in my head. She is the same lady that is in our lift. (elevator)

I snapped this coming home today. Not meaning the focus so much on the girl but of the ceiling with holes and how long the escalator is! I about died the first time I went down it, it is honestly like two stories long.

The double decker speeding along. This isn't a tour bus, just the regular transit bus. Cars don't stop! but for some reason people walk anyway. at each intersection on the ground it tells you which way to look, this was a "look right" for the first half and "look left" for the second!

This is a tube stop! isn't it amazing! Again see Harry Potter! Kings Cross, books one, two and seven! Yes I know I am a geek!

We went over to a little playground that is just down the alley way. It was sunny today so..
we had a photo session and a picnic!

Then we went up to Hamstead to meet Emily and the boys she nanny's. Honestly Joey was so happy to see other kids! It has been a long week and a half with just momma and dada and men in suits! We live in "The City" which means the financial district of London.

So while in Hamstead we went to this little pool! Look how cute this swim suit is! (Thanks Eryn!)
Jowin was so funny! She ran right in, no fear, to the deepest part of the pool (10 inches) and started splashing and playing with the biggest girls in the pool and laughing and playing a long like she was one of them! too cute!

And for hers and my favorites!

Joey's stroller. We did not bring a single toy for this girl! (I really don't know what I was thinking) So when she saw this stroller it was love at first sight... she hasn't let it out of her sight since!

Mama's stroller

There are a few things you pick up on quick here when taking the tube. One you want the lightest stroller possible, since no stops have lifts. So the best part about this stroller is I bought it while I was out with my other red stroller now referred to as the beast and I had to get it home on the tube, so I was pushing this massive stroller and having to have people helping me lift it up all these flights of stairs, and carrying my new smaller, light weight stroller on my back! People probably thought I was nuts. Thankfully now I am fully capable of getting on and off the tube by myself! It is a serious relief!

And just because it is English doesn't mean it is in English!
A Nappy-----A Diaper
A Fag-----A cigarette
A Litter-----A Garbage
The Toilet-----The Restroom
The Lift-----The Elevator
A Buggy-----A Stroller
Chips---Fries
Crisps---Chips
Top Up---Fill Up (like when you add more money to your oyster card(underground pass) you "top up")
I will think of more later. these are just the ones off the top of my head

LOVE IT. All of it. Love Joey's suit, but that's just the beginning. I love the details, like which way to look when you cross the street and how long the escalator is to the tube! You'll be so glad you keep this travelogue when Joey is big and doesn't remember a thing!

I am honestly jealous that you got to stand by Platform 9 and 3/4. Are you going to see Hogwarts too?

Yay! You found a stroller for Joey! Love Harry Potter...I haven't seen that platform yet, we'll have to go again someday. Right by Ty's work is the place where they filmed for Diagon Alley- we'll have to go there too.
