Wednesday

5 years!

It's hard to believe how much has happened these past 5 years. When I
look at where I was and where I am now I can only consider myself
lucky to have had someone like you in my life who has really given me
direction and made me believe in myself. Through the ups and downs of
marriage and parenthood there's no one else I'd rather spend it with
than you. You have given me the most beautiful children and you are a
remarkable mother, we are all incredibly lucky to have you in our lives.

I love you Jill. It's been a wonderful and eventful 5 years and now
more than ever I look forward for the years to come. Happy anniversary.

Friday

3 going on 13

It seems like I can't turn around for a second with out my kids getting bigger on me! Joey is so full of personality it is hard for me to remember she is only three! Of course Kev and I have been saying this since she was tiny... So Joey let me say it one more time, I can't believe you are only three!! I love you more than blue skies!

Wednesday

Making Me Happy

These two! They crack me up!

Monday

Through Air and Space!

It was Kevs first weekend off in a LONG time so we decided to go to the Air and Space Museum and I'm glad we did,it was SO cool! The place it huge and the kids loved it!

They have planes from all over and different times. German, Japanese, really really really old, and really new. It was so interesting.

I kept waiting for this "guy" to transform... but he didn't he just stayed the same:)

Dad is easily the favorite of both the kids! They just can't get enough of him when he is around! We are all looking forward to April!

Oh and it just so happens, my brother in law designed this ROCKET! How cool is that? I told Joey and she got all excited to tell Ethan that she saw his dads rocket! It was pretty cool. Not too many people have dads who make stuff that fly into space!

It was a pretty sweet day! We even got free burritos at Moes! Now that is what I call a successful Saturday!

Friday

PHILI 1 2 3

Kev had work in Phili so we tagged along for the ride, the food and the hotel stay! I tell you business travel is pretty sweet:) We saw a few sites, not to many with two little ones in tow but enough for next time we watch National Treasure! Thanks PWC it was a sweet trip!

Tuesday

What can I say?

It's hard to think of something adequate to say about a woman who has had such an amazing impact on my life. Not that I would consider myself as ever being lost, but it wasn't until I found her that I really found out who I am and what life is really supposed to be about. If I rack my brain I can't come up with any accomplishments or acts on my part that qualify me to be as lucky as I have been these last 1,737 days since I was sealed to Jill for time and all eternity. Not everyday has been great and somedays I wish I didn't ever have to wake up, but the reality is that none of that has to do with Jill, it's all me. When I step back and look at the amazing life she has created for me and the most beautiful children a father could dream of (most days anway), I realize that there's just nothing else the world has to offer that is better than what I already have.

I love you Jill, and today of all days is one that I cherish above all others. Happy birthday, I hope to someday make you realize how glad I am that you were born and somehow landed in my life. I'm sorry you weren't as lucky as I was, but at least you have the kids to make up for when I fall short.

Saturday

SOME BODY IS ONE!

Good Morning!
Jackson just after waking up on his first birthday! He was a bit ornery until he got his books, than he was happy as could be!

His favorite books right now are, Animal Time, Brown Bear, Are you my teddy?, and Noisy Farm... If you try to read him something else, forget it, he throws it on the floor.

What We Did!

We were staying the weekend in Philadelphia, Kev had work so we went out to breakfast than headed to the Please Touch Museum.

Jackson drove a car,

Rode a horse,

Went to the moon in a rocket ship,

And crewed a sail boat.

Jax enjoyed it, mostly just watched Joey be in heaven, it wasn't his turn until the gift shop when he found a 4ft Elmo! Than he was happy.

GIFTS!

We went to dinner, than headed back to the hotel to open his gifts!

Not too excited......Until....

until he opened his ELMO! His sis was very sweet and opened the rest for him!

What a face! I couldn't resist!

I am not really sure why Jacksy loves Elmo quite as much as he does, but he does! He loves to watch Sesame Street and listen to all the monsters, it is so funny to me. Well really Jackson is just funny to me.

CAKE!

We came home, and Joey insisted his birthday wasn't over until we had cake, (yes she loves birthdays as much as her mom:) So of course I whipped out this lovely Elmo cake! I thought it turned out great!

And so did Jackson! Look at that face! ha!

Unprovoked picture but I'm glad he did it! See it is his 1st birthday!

And you know, I think he loved it!

Friday

Pneumonia

So.... Jackson has pnemunia.... Yep not pretty... Not cool... Not
fun....
My poor baby, I all these things did not have to happen to you. I wish
I could make it go away for you. I love you little boy. Thanks for
being so sweet and so strong and so happy through it all!

Wednesday

Forgotten...

Not my family, but these pictures have been forgotten. We took them one day after church, I was determined to have a Christmas card picture, which didn't happen... But Now that I look at these, they aren't that bad. But trying to get a baby to look at a camera with no one behind it is pretty much impossible, oh that goes for the 3 year old too.

It's funny these weren't taken that long ago just be Thanksgiving and already my kids have changed SO much! I mean Joey has her binky in these pictures! And Jackson is just a baby! Well he still is a baby to me...

It is funny to go back and look at these, Kev and I look the same but my kids look so different. I guess it happens so fast I haven't even been noticing. But being home these past few weeks and really looking at them, they are getting bigger everyday! And as much complaining I have done about being trapped in the house, at least I have learned this.. And will hopefully slow down and look and play with my kids, because before I know it they will be big and not want me anymore.. So for now I will try and enjoy the constant mom mom mom mom mom mom mom.....

Tuesday

T R O U B L E

Look out it's Jackson! He reminds me more of a tornado rather than a
baby! He loves to pull everything down and out and move on to the
next target. All the time with a huge smile on his face! He smiles,
Joey cries and I try to stop him and he has pnemunia! Still he just
smiles! What a guy!

Monday

Good Night Sweetheart!

Joey has been having a hard time going to bed lately (again) except
this time, she tells us she is scared... Scared of the lights, of the
fan, of Jacksys crying, pretty much anything she can think of! So
tonight I tried something a little different, I found all 19 of her
dolls and stuffed animals! Now she can't be lonely or scared! It was
worth a try right?

Thursday

Bonjour Butterfly

Word on the street is that the Butterfly exhibit is free on Tuesday, so AFTER playgroup we loaded all five kids in the car and headed in to the metro area to the Natural History Museum! It is one of Joeys favorites and it is so funny because she went through the list of all the people who have gone with us there! (you know who you are!)

First off to the Elephant, that the giant squid, than the mammals, than the butterflys!

I of course forgot my real camera so these babies we shot on my iphone, while holding a 11 months old....little blurry, but still cute!

The kids were very uncertain of the butterflies and I am not actually sure they really saw any, but it was fun and cool to see for the adults!

Luckily for us the museum was pretty empty so we had free rein! The kids were great, and even though I am sure we looked like a quite a scene, it was fun and totally worth it!

Except! I did not get my whale cookie which was a BIG bummer but all the kids got a chomping T-rex, so all in all I would say it was worth the effort! Next time we are headed to the American right Sarah? :)

Monday

My Charlie And Lola

This last month has been filled with cold weather and sick kids. It takes a lot to keep us inside and home all day, and this sickness has done it. So of course with sick kids comes some movie watching! We have gotten to know Charlie and Lola pretty well around our house and it has been funny. But I think it needs to end and we need to see some warmer weather! :)

I'm not sure what snacks they were having but apparently they were GOOD! They were down there for quite a while, hanging out and "snuggin" I'm so glad they love each other! ;)

And Mr. Trouble himself! Oh this boy has stolen my heart and makes me laugh so hard!

I only hope they can be as good of friends as Charlie and Lola! Joey is turning in to Lola before my eyes, so maybe Jacks will pick up on some Charlie attitude! (he is very patient with his sister)
I guess spending a day in and watching shows isn't so bad every once in a while!

A Few Things I've Forgotten

Like how they love the toilet and toilet paper rolls. How huge a mess
they can make when they are supposed to be eating! How they love to
climb on anything and everything! Like the dishwasher, carseat, couch
and stairs! And mostly just how fun and cute they are at this age!
