Finding her Happy Place!

So with all the sickness that has been going around, we haven't been out much. So we have had to get resourceful...ie Joey under one of these lovely barstools! She was really proud of herself once she got under there and was all ready to pose for her camera... That is new too. She loves to bring me our little point shoot camera and then stand there and smile for me! She always makes me laugh, it almost makes up for her recent ill behavior!!

No Business Like Show business

So this is really exciting! Studio 5 on ksl came and filmed me doing a photo shoot and interviewed me about my passion.... (its photography, just in case you didn't catch that!) Anyway it is airing on Monday, Feb 25th at 11:00 am! So tune in!

Okay so I was asked by Brooke Walker with Studio 5(!) if they could come and film me shooting one of my mothers series. So needless to say I was a bit anxious about it! So I asked Kev to come and do a test shoot with me before the big day! So here are the pics from that shoot....... I love them! Joey and her daddy too cute!

So after a very realistic dream about Joey getting kidnapped because some one found her through my blog I decided to close it down! Magically Wisked Away To.....

Many of you might know I love suprised! They just make life more fun!
So for Valentines Day Kev took me away on a romantic getaway! It was the first time we have left Joey for the night and boy was it nice to get away and feel like a couple again! Kev planned it all and wouldn't tell me anything except to pack a swim suit!
So we get in the car and head...


I have never stayed there and it was so fun! I have always been a sucker for hotels. There is nothing like getting a mint on your pillow and have someone else make your bed!

So Kev says we have an hour for dinner where do you want to go? I said an hour for dinner why? He wouldn't tell me so we jumped on trax and headed for a qucik dinner. So after dinner we get back off trax and we start to walk, and walk and walk. I am freezing and begging Kev to tell me where we are going so I can help navigate, Kev really does need a little help with that but we finally hit the street and I see Capital Theatere and Ballet West "Cinderella!" I can't tel you how excited I was! I love the ballet! I always tell Kev I think I missed my calling as a dancer!



We had so much fun and I loved every minute of it, especially the breakfast buffet at Little America!! I have to say Valentines Day is my new favorite holiday!....

So Win and I are now official card carrying members of the Childrens Museum! Best part is is our pass will get us in to museums in London, Virginia and Seattle... And pretty much everywhere in between!
They have a new exhibit, The Body. All Sesame Street and it is pretty fun! Joey was scared of Oscar the Grouch and his digestive system but loved Hoopers Store and of course Elmo's World! Honestly Joey could have stayed in this room all day!

Ha! Ha!Okay so not Vogue worthy yet but it will get there!
After a very very long week and a LOT of hair trama I made an executive decision.
Funny thing is, is my hair was this short when Kev and I first met. and the one thing he told his parents about me before we met was that his hair was longer than mine. That isn't true this time around! But I totally love it. My hair was just so fried after this past week of dying and re dying that it was the only cute thing to do! It is crazy to have my hair this short again but I really like it. And when I came home Kev said hey you did it! I have been telling you to cut your hair short forever! I think that is his way of telling me I look good... I mean really good! :)

Little Pool Shark...

With all this snow and cold we have been cooped up inside with not a whole lot to do. So Win has taken up a new hobby! Pool! Mostly she just crawls around puts all the balls in one pocket but she is a good spectator as well! The first night Kev and I played she just sat up in her chair and watched the whole game laughing and clapping! Go figure. I guess it is a good thing our new digs came furnished otherwise we would just be playing ring around the rosies and itsy bity spider all day!

Besides that, I thought these pictures were really cute so I wanted to post them! Funny how I can post pictures of Joey all day but can't manage to put a regular picture of myself up to show off my new hair. Sorry! I guess we all have out things!

Oh and yes her outfit does say "Starlet" on it! Thanks Eryn and yes she does think she is one!

My New Do!

So it has only been 2 years since I have had my hair professionally cut and colored! Sad I know but true!
So I decided it was time... So I went to my friend Courtney Tebbs at Salaon LA Camille in Sugarhouse. And I tell you what she did an awesome job! She put four different colors in my hair and then flat ironed it while she cut, my favorite thing!
So here it is. A new real hair color and a new real cut! Yeah for me!

1. I knew I wanted to marry Kevin before he even knew my name.
2. I am left handed, can wiggle my ears and have double jointed elbows!
3. I sleep in until 9:00 everyday! (so does Win!) My sisters hate it!
4. My sister Eryn told me I should major in photography, so I did. And I loved it and still do. She is still to this day my number one fan.. Love you sis!
5. I never really say what I truely think or feel.
6. I never had friends growing up.I never needed them, I always just played with my brothers and sisters. One of the many perks of being the youngest of 9 children!
7. I dream about being a fashion photographer and having my photo on the cover of Vogue!

Seattle Baby!

So Win and I went to Seattle this last weekend to visit Aunty Eryn! In the usual style we stuck a good old backpack on Joey and her squeaky shoes and we were off!



We got there and were so happy to see our cousis! Joey and Aussie were so cute together! They went and stayed in nursery together the whole time. Aussie got really sad and so I told Joey to go give him loves which she promptly did and they played the rest of the time! (two hours!)





Oh and these two girls were oh so cute! They even had a slumber party the first night! Kay is the best big cousin making sure Joey is right there keeping up with her. We sure do love our Kay Kay! And of course we dressed them the same, it was too cute not to! Best friends, just like their mommas!







The boat at Bell Square. Such a party. We had a girls shopping night and we literally shopped till we dropped Kay was out before we left the parking lot!

It was a snow day on Monday! Yahoo! We had a good old time only Eryn doesn't have any sleds so we used a laundry basket and Travs snowboard until the neighbor kids came out and shared the goods! Look at Tucky go! Six and boarding, too cute!

A little Seattle scenery.. Eryn and I had grandious ideas of going shooting in downtown but of course we ended up shopping instead... Next time though...

Busy Little Bee!

So lately Joey has been so busy! Into everything and wanting to do everything, wanting to know everything! I just can't believe how big she is getting! Kev and I keep looking at her and saying, when did she get so big? She is only 17 months and she is taller than all the lother kids in her play group. She is just so full of personality and always makes me laugh. We go to any store and she stops to wave and say hi to basically every person she sees. Kev keeps trying to teach her stanger danger but I don't think it is working! She sure does keep us on our toes.... But I think we are up for the challenge!

The New Face of Blush Floral.... Me!

So this is really funny. But my great friend and fellow photographer Stacy (who finally started a blog! Yeah!) took these pics of me for Blush Floral in Logan.
Bridal pictures of a girl who has been married for almost 3 year and a mom to a 1 year old! Really I just said okay because I still to this day LOVE my wedding dress more than anything and was really happy to see that after having a baby I still fit in to it!(Stacy remember that guy who asked me if I thought I would ever fit into it again during your crit?) I guess we showed him! Thanks you rock!!

Time to say goodbye!

Oddly enough I have actually had some mixed feelings about leaving Logan... I know, I know.. Yeah I am off to the "big" city and am really excited about it but there are quite a few things I am going to miss..

Like shopping with my mom..
running errands with my mom...
working with my dad...
going out to eat with my parents...
having my mom babysit...
Sunday dinner at my parents house..
And I know Winnie is going to go through Grammy and Pa withdrawal...

So I guess it is more like I will miss my parents than I will actually miss Logan!
Oh well whats done is done. We had some good times there.. I found Kev, who has made me the happiest woman in the world. We thought the day would never come but we both graduated from USU and of course we had our beautiful baby girl there. So I guess Logan will always have a special place in my heart...... (who would have thought!)

Kickin the habit in 08!

So things have been a little crazy lately... Christmas, moving, staying with my parents... Anyway I guess somewhere in the scramble Joey took to drinking, and eating...



I came down the stairs and there she was. Opening reeces peanut butter cups and taffy and had found a diet coke from somewhere... I asked what was up and she just looked at me went on eating her candy. Than proceeded to take big drinks of diet coke and follow with a big ahhhh.....
My new years resolution? Say good bye to the diet coke and keep the candy out of reach!

It Came... It Came Just the Same....

Yeah Christmas was so fun this year! With Winnies excited "whoow" over every present and sledding and snowmobiling what more do you need? For the past 7 years my family has been going to a cabin at Bear Lake. It is great we all go up and stay for a few days, it seems to make Christmas last longer like a little holiday. I love it. This year it was a little smaller than usual with only two grnadkids but Ethan and Win has a great time together, He is one great cousin!





Funny thing was Kev and I woke up before anyone else did so I went down to see if Ethan was up and sure enough he was down in his room awake and just waiting. The second he heard me he jumped out of bed and was ready to go... So at 6 am we went in and woke up Joey. She is just like her mom, NOT a morning person but once she figured out what was going on she got really excited!



It took her a minute to realize that after a month of being told she couldn't open gifts that she finally she could! Once that sunk in there was no stopping her!
Thanks Santa! We had a wonderful Christmas... Can't wait until next year!!!

Santa Claus is comin to town!

This year I got a little carried away and decided to make my own Christmas card... Well Eryn actually called and asked if I would make hers and I of course said yes! I thought it turned out super cute!

It's Official!!

Last Saturday Kev graduated from USU! It was such a fun day and even if he didn't really want to walk I am really glad he did! It just makes it seem more official!
Anyway just a few pics.. Kevin's whole family came!! It as so awesome and I could not be happier about it or more proud of him!







So what is real life like?

A day or two ago... I thought I'd take a ride....

Yeah it is finally Christmas time and there is snow to go with it! We went sledding down Old Main hill last weekend and it was so fun! Kev and I haven't been since we were first dating and we went to Wal-Mart and Kev sprung for twenty bucks on this tube! (That is more than he spent on our first date!) But the good news is it has lasted us 3 years and is still a blast to ride on!



Winnie was lovin it! We took her all the way to the top of the hill and send her down on her own! A little dangerous yes but she loved every minute of it! What a doll!



But in the end it was really Maizy that she liked the best! (Todd and Megans dog) She is lovin dogs now a days. She has the uff uuf down pat. She really must be daddy's little girl! We all know how I feel about pets!



And ofcourse a trip to see Santa! Went about as well as we thought it would! She really likes to get the candy cane but really doesn't like sitting on his lap!

3 moves in 1 year!

First I have to say how proud I am of Kev! Honestly, the man is a work horse and does such an amazing job caring for two very high maintenance babes!

Anyway, Kevin is graduating from Utah State University in two weeks with a dual major in Accounting and Spanish.
He recently accepted a position with Utah Retirement Systems in Salt Lake. So we will be there until May.
Then it is off to London for an internship with Deloitte,
Then to Washington D.C. for a permanent position with PricewaterhouseCoopers!!
Does that sound like a lot to anyone else? We could not be more excited!
Or more proud of Kev! Way to be! We sure do love you!
