WHAT WAS I DOING TEN YEARS AGO?

Lets see ten years ago I was 14 so I was in Jr. High at Churchill and lets face it probably boy crazy! Oh but 14 is when you can hang out in boy girl groups! yeah we did a lot of that! My Jr. High was super fun though, we had volleyball games and basketball games and cheerleaders. It was a fun time, most people look back at high school with fond memories... as for me, I am more nostalgic about jr. high days....

WHAT WAS I DOING FIVE YEARS AGO?

Oh boy Freshman at Utah State University. Where I think I spent most of my time at my sisters house in Mountain Green! I had a huge falling out with my bff from high school who also happened to be my roommate at the time! I was so homesick. My whole family brought me up to school to get me settled in my dorm room and I just cried that whole night and then went home the next day!.... I was so brave!

WHAT WAS I DOING ONE YEAR AGO?

Well lets see... One year ago I had this brand new baby girl who cried so much and so loudly I really didn't know what to do! I was so post partum I couldn't carry on a single conversation with out crying....And actually it was almost this week one year ago when Kev had to pack Win up and rush me to the ER because I couldn't breathe and my chest hurt so bad I was on the floor crying my eyes out! Got to the hospital where they admitted me and we had to wait four days until I had my gallbladder out!!! Good times!

WHAT WAS I DOING YESTERDAY?

Watching the Muppets, visiting teaching, nap time... Friends, laundry, walk, KPMG reception! All in all it was actually a pretty fun day!

FIVE PLACES I WOULD RATHER BE?

Nowhere really. Today is a cold rainy Autumn day and I LOVE IT!
But I guess I could say... DC, NYC, Vegas, Seattle, LONDON

FIVE TREATS I LOVE?

Carmel apples, Eryn's sheet cake, brownies and better than sex cake (even if the name isn't true!) and Jen's cheese cake!

WHAT I WOULD DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS?

Totally honest? I could say all the responsible things.... give to charity, save, invest... But really I would shop until my hearts content... and who knows when that would be! Oh and of course own a home and new car. But realistically, a million dollars would really only be enough to buy a house in DC.... So I guess I would need abou two!

FIVE FAVORITE TV SHOWS?

Americas Next Top Model, My Name is Earl, The Office, So You Think You Can Dance.....and 24! Oh wait I forgot my most favorite tv show is Brothers and Sisters!... Sorry I sound like a tv head!

MY MOST MEMORABLE THINGS RIGHT NOW?

Totally cheesy.... but every day watching Win grow up and learn new things! She loves to roll over, twirl and pick out stories to read! She is such a crack up!

FIVE PEOPLE I AM TAGGING.....

ERYN, CATHERINE, JORDAN, CHELSEA AND BEATTA

Late but Worth the Wait..

A couple of weeks ago I took off for a girls weekend with my sister Eryn. I packed up and left Kev a list on the fridge gave Win a kiss and off I went! It was really fun.. Well if you like talking about dentists and learning Kenneth Cope songs! No really it was fun and the best part was I didn't have to worry about Win at all I knew she was having a blast with her dad! So I got to hang out with my sister, shop, eat out and see the last 45 minutes of Becoming Jane..... (which I really hope to see the begining of soon!)

Some random pics of Boise

The New Look For Fall!

The figure 8 sling! She is actually doing great! We go to the Doc again on Monday and will hopefully hear all is well! Thanks for all the concern...! I promise I am a good mom and don't neglect my babe! I just wasn't fast enough to catch her.. I guess I need to work on my reflexes!
But doesn't she look good anyway! Kev couldn't get over the diaper and sock look! We are really quite fashion forward at the Thueson house!

I Broke My Baby!

It is official Win has a broken collar bone. We took her in to the ER today and they did x-rays on her and sure enough her clavicle was broken right in half! It is so sad but she was so brave! She fell off the bathroom counter yesterday morning while we were getting ready for the day. (This is our daily routine, she sits up on the counter and brushes her teeth or plays with my makeup while I get ready.) Well yesterday was the day she came crashing down right on her shoulder. Anyway we debated all day about weather to take her in to the doctor and when she woke up this morning it was all swollen and bruised so we decided we better get it checked out. So now my very girly little girl has to wear a sling that looks like shoulder pads! But don't worry she works it!
Pictures to follow....
Oh we did ask if we could get a copy of the x-rays but we will have to go through medical records to get a burned cd of them.

My Latest Project

It has been too long since I took on a photo project. So I decided to do a series on mothers. I mean, what could be closer to my heart than being a mom? But instead of always focusing on the child I wanted to focus on the mother. I think as moms we lose some of our individuality, I mean I take nothing but pictures of my daughter all day long, which I love. But then I think "Did I go through four years of school and all that technical training to sit around and shoot candids of my kid all day....? Well anyway here are just three of the photographs I took of my dear friend Stacy, mother and also photographer. They turned out lovely I thought. And I wanted to share them. To me they are a little inspiration that being a mother really is a beautiful thing!

For You Eryn... "The Witch of Blackbird Pond"

IT IS A BOOK! Since I am not part of a book club, my sisters have been giving me their leftovers and my sister Eryn has gone on and on about that river book so here is my turn... Jen gave this book to me "The Witch of Blackbird Pond" by Elizabeth George Speare. I just got finished reading it and Jen was right it is an awesome book. It got me all ready for the fall and for Halloween and the leaves to change. I can't say why exactly but fall is my favorite time of year and Halloween might even beat out Christmas in my book.... Sorry I just love it!

A Day In The Life of A Princess

We walk all day...

Then we go for stroller rides in our awesome new stroller and talk on the phone of course! We have been walking so much lately, I was walking out of Borders and this lady yelled at me from the parking lot.."you have been walking everywhere, I see you like everyday!" It was really funny and kind of embarassing! But we love the stroller and we love the fall weather!!!

Guess who's walking?

Jowin started walking over this past week and once she started she just hasn't stopped. She's a little too fearless for her own good, but she loves the added freedom of being mobile.
